Auto-Lift UK Ltd have found that a lot of their customers visiting the showroom for the Roof Rack Supermarket range of Thule and Mont Blanc products were asking for a reputable supplier for the fitting of Towbars in and around the Bradford area so they could get the towball mounted cycle carrier installed that they wanted.

Simply let Auto-Lift UK Ltd know what the make, model and year your vehicle is and they will get you ‘booked in’ usually within a week for the fitment of your towbar. The idea is they would collect your vehicle first thing in the morning (usually around 8:30) then return your vehicle in the afternoon once it’s been fitted!
The alternative would be sitting around all day in a workshop while your vehicle is being worked on which is just a waste of your time, or alternatively putting someone else out to pick you up and drop you back off once the towbar is fitted, neither is ideal.
The towbars are extremely well made and depending on the make an model of your car are manufactured from only reputable manufacturers such as Witter, Eeco, PCT Towbars etc. They are fitted with all the correct plugs and towballs to ensure you get the best towbar product for your car.
Some of the towbars we use are from one of the oldest UK based towbar manufacturers that have been making towbar equipment for all types of cars since the early 70′s. We deal with towbar manufacturers that have been carrying out strength tests on towbars and advising car manufacturers about towing stresses on bodyshells over 30 years ago to ensure that Auto-Lift UK Ltd only sell their customers the highest quality equipment.
Key towbar facts:-
The implementation of the European directive in 1998 added cost to the products of “genuine” towbar makers but gave a level to which all modern towing equipment should be made.
Any towbar manufactured to the directive and carrying the approval label will fit to all the car manufacturers homologated paints and will not invalidate any warranty.
Towbars confirming to 94/20 EC are required by law to be fitted to all passengers vehicles registered after 1st August 1998 (“S” Reg). This became European law on 1st January 1998 and was implemented in the UK in August 1998. At the moment this does not cover vans or light commercials nor any vehicle registered before 1st August 1998. A type approved towbar will carry a plate or sticker showing the approval number, maker, part number, a unique batch number, and nose loads and D valves for the vehicle to which it fits. This plate should never be removed, and forms the full guarantee that the towbar conforms to all mandatory requirements necessary for the police, insurance companies or possible future M.O.T. Inspection.
The Auto-Lift UK Ltd fitted towbars are all type approved towbars that come in a black coated finish as standard for durability, which has passed over a hundred hour salt spray test.
The towbars used all conform to BS AU113 (ISO1102) for coupling position and height. This states that the centre of a standard 50mm towball coupling ball, when fitted, should be between 350mm and 420mm above the ground with the vehicle fully laden. The Auto-Lift UK Ltd towing brackets that are used are designed, where possible, to be at the upper end of this scope so that a drop plate can be used if required. Please note this should never be used to raise the ball height.
All standard (pre type approved) towbars are designed, where possible, to fit the motor manufacturers homologated points with the minimum amount of drilling required.
All standard Auto-Lift UK Ltd towbars which are used are spray painted in the latest water based preserving undercoat to give your towbar a super long life expectancy!
